Studio 359 Lucaston

The story of the shed

Studio 359 Lucaston was originally a packing shed for the large apple orchard known as Lucal Farm. When apple growing ceased financial viability in the ‘70s Lucal Farm was subdivided into multiple lots and the apple shed became part of 359 Bakers Creek Rd, a parcel of land which now includes a home and a glorious garden.

The shed, which was no longer needed for packing apples, then became the workshop of Tom Crisp who used it to store and accumulate tools, wood and implements to build and grow his garden.

As Tom’s health waned his wife, Heather, repurposed the shed into the wonderful art studio that it is today. She invited her two friends Catherine and Kerri to join her in the studio and together the three share the joy of creating beautiful works of art.
